A story of love, laughter and men in thongs, together with a great pop soundtrack that will have you dancing in the aisles. Jane is preparing for the biggest day of her life and that wouldn’t be complete without a traditional hen night with the girls. Meanwhile Tony and the boys are putting together the final touches of their make or break ladies only show.
Both funny and touching, we follow the boys from rehearsals to performance, as they prepare for the forthcoming ‘Feast of Flesh’ contest, which could turn them from has-beens to heroes overnight.
“Quite simply the perfect girls’ night out” Darlington Evening Post
“It was fantastic…..I have seen and loved The Full Monty but this play was 100% funnier” The Hull Daily Mail
“Lisa Holdsworth’s Going To Extremes offers the most rewarding fifteen minutes of the evening.”
“…but he was pipped to the post by a remarkable performance from Joe Ransom in Going To Extremes, one of the short but telling pieces in the JB Shorts evening at Joshua Brooks. The whole evening was pretty superb but Ransom was the standout for the panel!”

Independent.co.uk
“Going to Extremes – from Lisa Houldsworth – features an edgy performance by Joe Ransom as a racist thug”
WhatsOnStage.com

CityLife.co.uk
“In particular Going to Extremes – imagining two former workmates thrown together on the fringes of a protest rally – is a highly-significant contribution to a long-overdue national debate on the state of contemporary racial relations, and is stirringly acted by Joe Ransom and Sushil Chudasama.”
lep.co.uk
“Going to Extremes, written by Lisa Holdsworth and directed by Trevor MacFarlane, could potentially have been nothing more than a worthy piece of Theatre In Education”
UK Theatre Network
“Darren played by Joe Ransom was excellent in his role of womaniser who thought he knew everything there was to know about women”
The Public Reviews
“Former Sheldon School student Joe Ransom has been wooing sell out audiences in theatres up and down the country after landing a role in smash hit play Girls Night Out.”
